Pat Ryan
Please help us welcome Pat to the Albany Alleycats SC! Pat played club Soccer at Blackwatch where his team was ranked as high as 4th in the country. Pat played Varsity Soccer for Columbia HS (East Greenbush) as a freshman and sophomore, leading Section 2 in goals and assists both years, making The Times Union All-Star Team and Section 2 First Team Honors. He played collegiately for Virginia Tech University and The University at Buffalo. He graduated with a BS In Marketing from UB that he now puts to use at Grassroot Givers where he is The Communications and Development Assistant. He loves his job and all he wants to do in his career is help those in-need.
For the 2019-2020 Season Pat will be mainly working with The Youth Academy. In addition he will be asked to help where he can when needed. So far he has been working with the U-13's, U-16's, and U-17's with his former assistant coach at UB Brian Knapp who goes by B.K. He has coached U-12 Blackwatch Girls and went undefeated for the season. He has also coached U-16 Bethlehem Premier Girls where they won several trophies in local tournaments. As he was training to sign a professional contract he coached Brunswick SC through First Touch Soccer and was an assistant for The Saint Rose Men's Team, breaking 5 School Records that year. Pat has his F-License through U.S. Soccer and loves to focus on tactics of the game with the girls. He loves to see the game through "Coaching Eyes" because it's easier to see where things can be corrected and improved. He hopes to add to The Alleycat Mentality of focusing on technical work and foot skills as well.
