Alleycats Soccer Club announced the hiring of former Siena College captain Matt Needham today. Matt will work primarily with our U-14 Boys player pool for the 2016/17 season.
“We are really excited to welcome Matt to the Alleycats family,” said Boys U-16 coach Jason Ramundo. “We have been tracking Matt for about a year now. He is a very talented young coach who will serve as a great role model for our young players. His knowledge and passion for the game will certainly elevate the level of our coaching staff.”
Matt was a standout performer for the Siena Men’s Soccer Team from 2012-2015. The four-year starter played in 59 games, starting 58. He tallied 5 goals and 2 assists for 12 career points. Matt was selected to the MAAC All-Rookie Team (2012) and was a 3x MAAC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll Selection (2013-2015). He was also named to the Siena Athletic Department’s 4.0 Club in 2014 and 2015 after achieving a perfect GPA. Matt served as team captain for the Saints for two season in 2014 and 2015.
