Alleycats Panthers 12 Girls captured first place at Afrim’s first annual Halloween Candy Cup.

The full field 8v8 tournament played indoors at Afrim's Latham Bubble featured divisions for over 35 boys and girls teams from as far away as Vermont.

Miranda Haraughty a member of the Alleycats Ocelots 14 Girls team and a eight grade student athlete at Glens Falls High School was recently named to the First Team Foothills Council All-League squad for Girls Soccer.

Glens Falls had their best year since 2002, she led the team with 19 goals and 8 assists, was second in the Foothills Council in goals scored and total points.

Miranda was also resently named to the 1994 Eastern New York Youth Soccer Associations North girls ODP squad.

The Ocelots kick off their club season tournament schedule on November 29th & 30th at the Patriots FC Thanksgiving Premier Invitational Tournament in Westchester, NY.

Nov. 6, 2008 - LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Freshman forward Ashleigh Barone was named 2008 MAAC Rookie of the Year as announced at the women’s soccer awards banquet at the Crowne Plaza in Albany this evening. Barone, a member of the MAAC First Team and All-Rookie Team as well, led the league in scoring with 15 goals, five assists, and 35 points.

Ashleigh has been a member the the Alleycats Jaguars since she was 14 years old and was also named to the 2008 women's soccer MAAC All-Tournament Team.

Alleycats announce open roster availability

The Alleycats Soccer Club was recently approved by US Club Soccer to its competitive clubs program.

The Alleycats Soccer club continues to grow and has added five additional team to its 2008/2009 season bring its total to 23 boys and girls teams. They include 11 Girls, 12 Girls, 11 Boys, 12 Boys and 17 Boys.

We are in the process of structuring these teams but continue to add players daily. Coaches are being assigned and training in some cases has commenced. As always our focus is in players development, especially at the younger ages.

With the high school season under way the younger Alleycats teams have started their fall training sessions.

The Boys U10’s, U11’s and U12’s have been training on Wednesday and Saturday and the Girls 10’s, 11’s and 12’s on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.

Our 12 Girls Wildcats will host the Nirvana Soccer Club's 12's and 13's girls for some friendlies next week and will travel later this month to Long Island for friendlies against some Long Island teams.

We are committed to raising the level of girls soccer in the Capital District and continue to offer our players a more challanging environment.
