2009 Memorial Day Needham Invitational Champions
This weekend the U13 Alleycats Lynx were crowned Champions at the Memorial Day Needham Invitational in Boston, MA. They won their flight in pool play with 2 wins and 1 tie. The team then went on to play Scorpions FC in the semifinals and advanced to the finals with a 3-0 win. The Lynx played Far Post FC of Vermont in the finals and earned a Championship after a 1-0 result. The Lynx played five games over three days and were undefeated and only allowed 1 goal.

2009 Cape Cod Challenge Champions
The U15 Empires win the U16 Boys Division and go undefeated not allowing any goals the whole tournament. The first match saw the Empires take on Nordic Spirit U15 the VT State Champs and winning with 1-0. The second match of the day had the Empires playing South Kingstown Clippers U16 from Rhode Island and again they won with a 1-0 victory. The next day they had to face the Patucket Storm U16 rom Boston. The Empires won again with a 1-0 result and clinching their spot in the Championship Match on Monday.
The Championship match saw the Empires playing the Patucket Storm U16 again! The game was a back and forth match and was tied after 50 minutes of play at 0-0. Into overtime the Empires had 2 chances from point blank that couldn’t find the back of the net, so into PK’s we go. The game was won on Nico DiCristafaro making a HUGE save and Ian Kelly putting away his PK. Game Over......

2009 Potomac Memorial Day Runners-Up
The Alleycats U16 Milan had a great showing at Potomac Memorial Day Tournament.
The team started the tournament out slow with a loss to Freestate Arsenal of Maryland 3 - 0 on Saturday morning. Later that afternoon they defeated the NY State Cup West winners Empire United SA 1-0.
On Sunday the team defeated West Hartford Premier 2-0 and moved to the semifinals on Sunday afternoon. Milan played Smithtown Kickers Wizards and won 2-1 to advance to the championship match on Monday.
The Championship match saw the Alleycats Milan play the Manhattan Athletic on Monday morning were they fell short to Manhattan 4-0.
