The Alleycats Empires played in the 34th Annual Rose and Kiernan Tournament. The boys advanced to the finals only allowing 1 goal and scoring 14 goals! The Final was a great match which the Empires hit the post and the crossbar, but couldn't find the back of the net. The match went into overtime where Plattsburgh was able to convert on a header to win the game. Player of the tournament was defensive back Rob Hamm from Brunswick, NY

The boys traveled to South Burlington, VT to play on the Nordic Cup. In the first match of the tournament the Empires went up 1 - 0 on the #15th team in NY and lost. The next 2 games saw the Empires tie the #2 and #3 teams in VT.

The Empires traveled to Erie, PA to play in the Flagship Cup. The boys finished 2nd in group play scoring 5 goals and only allowing 2. The boys advanced to the playoffs and lost in the Semi-Finals.

ENY Premier

Alleycats Empires vs White Plains Elite

The Alleycats Empires had to play White Plains Elite today in a ENY Premier game today.

The wind was blowing and the tempature has dropped again, but not the play of the Empires! The first half saw Noah Madden attack the defense and get fouled in the box. Stepping up to strike the PK was Sydney Rebne who was able to complete the shot. White Plains was able to get shots off and balls crossed, but Alex Morrison was up to the match in the nets today. At halftime the score was 1 - 0 in favor of the Cats.

The second half was much of the same, attack attack and more attack from the midfield play of Corey Loveday, Marcus Moore and Will Valle. The game was controlled by these players who were able to link in the flank players. The flank play was run by Ben Koonz who was able to find a open Will McMahon making a run to the back post for another goal. Still making runs and taking chances was Sydney who was able to head a cross over the White Plains keeper for a final 3 - 0 win for the Cats.

Alleycats Empires vs West Babylon United

The Empires played West Babylon United today. The Cats had 3 different players score goals in the match.

The boys got on the score board in the 18th minute when Nico DiCristafaro sent in a threw ball to Sammy Teymouri who was able to beat the keeper one on one. The match saw a midfield battle envolving Marcus Moore getting into tackles and winning balls in the air. West Babylon was able to pull a goal back with only 15 minutes left before halftime.

The Empires went ahead and went at the back four of West Babylon. Within 5 minutes the Empires had taking 5 shots on goal. Ian Kelly was able to score off a Free-Kick only 10 minutes into the second half. The midfield players had the better run of the game supplying crosses and shots. The last goal came from midfielder Sydney Rebne was able to dribble the defense and then he was able to draw a PK.

The final score was 3 - 1 in favor of the Alleycats Empires!

Alleycats Empires vs Beekman Demons

Marcus Moore #17

Marcus Moore leads the Empires to a 3-0 victory over #24 in NYE Beekman Demons at Union College.

The score at halfime was 1-0 with a goal from Greg Goldstone who was able to score a volley from 8 yards out. Edin hit a blast from 10 yards out that rocked the post, and again missed a scramble in front of the box. Bobby Strang left the nets with a clean sheet.

The 2nd half saw the Empires explode the Demons! Syndey Rebne was able to dribble down the right side and beat 2 players and place the ball past the keeper for a 2-0 lead. Not be out down Moore hit a first time shot from 26 yards out that the Demons keeper couldn’t catch and followed up by Goldstone for his 2nd goal of the day.

Player of the match was Marcus Moore!
